The women in Business group is a community of women at various stages and experiences of running/owning businesses ranging from Sole Proprietors to Limited Liability companies. The years of experience span from 3 years to more than 15 years in business. Over the past semesters, the community group has served as a mentoring ground with avenues to learn about Building lasting structures and Corporate Governance, Financial management, The art of Selling; amongst other topics. The most benefits derived are the relationships and networks built, the referrals and leads received from fellow group members and lastly, a safe space for vulnerability, learning and growth.

Amaka Akinteye
Community Governor

Amaka Akinteye is the managing partner at Kinglivingstone Consulting Limited, represents a consortium of out-of-the-box thinkers with over 55years combined experience in financial & accounting services, knowledge-based human capital development, bespoke business solutions, just to mention a few. She sits on the board of VAS Pharmaceutical limited, a Nigerian world class pharmaceutical company, ONE-STOP SHOP for all health needs and providing professional health services to the host community.

Amaka Akinteye specializes in providing accounting, tax, audit, financial advisory, strategic business management services and entrepreneurial training to SME’s. With over 18 years’ experience undertaking different projects and job positions that spans across various sectors: Automobile, Financial services, FinTech, IT & Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Educational, Consulting, Banking, Fashion, Pharmaceutical, FMGC, and NGO’s. She has helped several businesses pivot from structureless to a well-organized one, including shifting them from stagnancy to a thriving business. She graduated with a first-class Bachelor degree in Applied accounting from Oxford Brookes University UK, a Second-class upper Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Enugu State University. She went on to bag a Master of Science degree from Sheffield Hallam University UK with Distinction, specializing in Finance and Investment.

She received an inspirational student award for academic and leadership excellence from Sheffield Business School, UK, she also received a number of excellence awards. She is a chartered accountant, member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN); and a Fellow of Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) UK and a Member of the chartered institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). Amaka Akinteye is a prolific writer & poet, her ultimate objective is to impact the lives of people by sharing her extensive business knowledge and through her poetry, soliloquies, inspirational thoughts and story-telling both fictional and non-fictional stories, to motivate people to live life to the fullest. She enjoys sports- she swims, plays lawn tennis, enjoys cycling. She is married and a mother of two great teenage boys.
